Party Mode is for personal, private use
Party Mode is intended for personal, non-commercial gatherings — house parties, get-togethers with friends, and private events. It is not licensed for commercial public performance.
Commercial venues
Businesses such as bars, cafés, restaurants, hotels, gyms and salons that play recorded music in public must hold their own public-performance licences — in India that means both an IPRS licence (for the underlying musical and literary works) and a sound-recording licence (PPL India / Novex / RMPL). Party Mode does not provide these licences and must not be used as a commercial venue music system. A separate, licensed Venue Edition is in development for that purpose.
Music source
Party Mode plays content via YouTube's embedded player, subject to YouTube's Terms of Service. It is free to use and never charges to play a song.
Privacy
Hosts sign in with Google; we store the host account and the songs added to a room. Guests may add songs without signing in. We do not sell personal data. We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate, anonymous usage (page views and basic events such as parties created and songs added); we do not send your song-search text.
